Happy birthday to the New York Pops! To celebrate its 24th year, superstars from Broadway, film, television, and music hit the Carnegie Hall stage in support of the orchestra and its education programs and free summer concerts, with a fab dinner following at The Pierre.

The birthday bash, called Musical Fireworks, honored Macy's, patrons Paula and Tom McInerney, and music legend Neil Sedaka-on the 50th anniversary of his start in show business.

Liz Smith and Denis Leary held hosting honors, along with Meredith Vieira-who made her conducting debut, leading the Pops in "The Stars and Stripes Forever."

The tony crowd included Jennifer Swindal with daughter Haley, James Gray, Joan Steinbrenner, John Lloyd Young, Leba Sedaka, Diana DeGarmo, and Anika Noni Rose.
