The Gilt restaurant in the Villard Mansion was host to an 18-carat evening for the Hearts of Gold Celebration of Giving gala. The event, chaired by Juliana Terian and Linda O’Neill, celebrated the New York Foundling’s commitment to serving NYC’s at-risk children and families.

Award-winning journalist Mary Alice Williams served as master of ceremonies, leading the guests through an elegant dinner followed by the premiere of Loren Kreiss’s photography exhibit, Hey Mister. This tender series of photos brings to life the challenges faced by families living along the cultural and economic divide, and will ultimately be auctioned off to benefit the program.

During dinner, guest Kevin Fox stood and pledged a whopping $1 mil in his grandmother’s name. He told the story of how his grandmother adopted his mother, Clara, through Foundling when Clara was at death’s door, and nursed her back to health, allowing her to live a happy, healthy, and full life—a touching tale of hope, promise, and generosity.

Among the gilded guests: Jodie King, Kate Olsen, Andrew and Tracy Auchincloss, Timothy O’Neill, Andrea Robinson, Nancy Pedot, Peter Tishman, Bill Baccaglini, Frank Villano, Richard Ruzika, Mark Walsh, Kenneth and Barbra Horner, and Christina Bloom.
