Jimmy Buffett, Ron Perelman

Partygoers and performers gathered at Ronald Perelman’s Creeks estate in East Hampton for the Apollo Theater benefit, which Usher facetiously renamed “karaoke for billionaires.”

The R&B singer was joined by Sir Paul McCartney, Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora, Pharrell Williams, the Isley Brothers, up-and-comer Leah LaBelle, and Jennifer Hudson, who belted out a moving Whitney Houston medley. The artists all came together for the evening’s final performance—a rousing cover of the Beatles classic “Twist and Shout”— to sound their support for the mythic Harlem music venue.

Other guests included Nancy Shevell, Patriots owner Bob Kraft, Universal Studios president Ron Meyer, Ronald Lauder, Tamara Mellon and Mike Ovitz, and L.A. Reid. The star-studded evening raised over $2 mil to help the Apollo continue to make music memories for generations to come.
