The New York Observer has been given a facelift. The paper and its website have been redesigned and relaunched. New owner Jared Kushner and editor-in-chief Peter Kaplan marked the occasion with a cocktail gala in the Grill Room at the Four Seasons.

The pinkish paper maintains its signature color and terrific prose, but has switched to a more tabloid-like format. Boldname power-players included: Howard Rubenstein, RFR's Richard Farley, Charles Kushner (Jared's dad), Andre Balazs, Bob Sommer, Robert Zimmerman, Brian Kempner, Cindy Adams, City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, Linda Carter, and Tom Wolfe.

Ivanka Trump was spotted in the crowd, looking leggy and fabulous as always, and we couldn't help but wonder if her appearance at the party meant there was a bit of truth behind the rumors that she and the handsome 25-year-old Kushner are dating...
