The Hammerstein Ballroom set the stage for the 2006 Fragrance Foundation's annual FiFi Awards. The heaven-scent event, celebrating the top dogs of the fragrance industry, was hosted by Academy Award and Golden Globe winner Geena Davis.
With a star-studded throng of revelers, including the likes of Sarah Jessica Parker, John Corbett, Bo Derek, and Vivica A. Fox, the spotlight remained on the ultra-glamorous Evelyn Lauder, who was bestowed the Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement Award. The senior corporate vice president of the Estée Lauder Companies was recognized not only for her creative work in the advancement of fragrances, but also for her generous contributions to beneficiary causes throughout her career.
Some of the night's biggest wins included: Euphoria by Calvin Klein for Fragrance of the Year, Women's Luxe; Armani Code by Giorgio Armani Parfums for Fragrance of the Year, Men's Luxe; Nordstrom for Retailer of the Year; and Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker and Coty Prestige for National Advertising Campaign, Television.
Sniffing out the competition: Betsey Johnson, Laurice Rahmé of Bond No. 9 Fragrances, Jason Patric, Phillip Bloch, Lee Ann Womack, Glamour's Felicia Milewicz, ELLE's Robbie Myers, and Fabrice Weber.
