Art and wine proved a perfect match at the Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation's first-ever Connoisseur's Dinner: An Evening of Wine and Art. The organization, founded by the Estee Lauder family in 2004, benefited from the cha-ching of $800,000 to support the discovery and development of drugs to prevent, treat, and cure this dreadful disease.

This ultra-elegant event, held at Sotheby's, was hosted by Leonard Lauder and Nancy Corzine, along with chairs Cece Cord and Dr. John Baldwin, Francine LeFrak and Rick Friedberg, Anne Hearst and Jay McInerney, James and Lee Niven, and Bill and Betsey Ruprecht.

Revelers were treated to a dinner menu pre¬pared by Daniel Boulud, and also enjoyed a unique auction full of rare wines, and luxury travel packages to exclusive wineries in France and California. A prized work of art was previewed, later to be auctioned by Sotheby's.

In the mix: Evelyn Lauder, Joanne de Guardiola, Dana Hammond and Dr. Patrick Stubgen, Alan and Maureen Maguire, Cynthia and Tony Maltese, Dick and Donna Soloway, Marjorie Gubelmann, Mark Locks, and Tom Quick.

The artwork was as glam as the guests themselves.
