Most people at a formal event grab a cocktail when they arrive and start schmoozing. The Sheet noticed that when host Chevy Chase arrived, he was already carrying his own drink in hand—and it was a FRAPPUCCINO from STARBUCKS! (Maybe he got his places mixed up, misreading “black towel at the beach” for “black tie at Cipriani’s.”) In any event, when The Sheet commented on how good he looked, the caffeine-happy Chase quipped, “I’m 60!”

The event marked the first annual “Apple Cares Gala.” (The AppleCare foundation is dedicated to improving medical and public safety in the Big Apple.) In the mix were Ivana Trump, Laura Steinberg, Steve Hochberg, Agnes Beaugendre, Denise Rich, and Dr. Angelo Acquista—who’s currently on the best seller list for his hot new book, The Survival Guide: What to do in a Biological, Chemical, or Nuclear Emergency. Yikes! We hope that one doesn’t become a must-read!?
