Eclectic artworks—ranging from Japanese baskets to Italian ceramics and glassware—were displayed at the 67th St. Armory for the Sculpture Objects and Functional Art (SOFA) show. The 2003 Opening Night gala, hosted by Barbara and Donald Tober, benefited the Museum of Arts and Design. Dale Chihuly, Hiroshi Yamano, Lino Pietra, William Morris, Bennett Bean, and Dorothy Hafner were some of the hundreds of artists whose works were displayed at this most exciting eclectic exhibition.
Virginia Fields, Don and Linda Schlenger, Holly Hotchner, and Joan Firestone were among the well-heeled guests. A silent auction of decorative and fine arts included glass, wood, metal, baskets, and studio furniture, to top off a sensational evening.?
