Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson

HBO premiered its highly anticipated film Game Change at the Ziegfeld amid a slew of controversy. The movie, based on the book by journalists John Heilemann and Mark Halperin, centers on the John McCain/Sarah Palin 2008 campaign. It stars Julianne Moore (who bears an uncanny resemblance to Palin), who arrived to the premiere in a stunning black and cream bandeau dress, looking much younger than her 51 years. Ed Harris plays McCain, and Woody Harrelson is senior campaign strategist Steve Schmidt.

The over-the-top afterparty at the Four Seasons drew a mix of Hollywood stars, politicos, and media insiders, including Game Change producer Tom Hanks with wife Rita Wilson, Regis and Joy Philbin, Police Commish Ray Kelly, former Gov. George Pataki, and Arianna Huffington.
