The Police Athletic League's 22nd annual Women of the Year Luncheon, co-chaired by Margo Catsimatidis, Pamela Newman, and Amelia Bernstein, gave kudos to honorees Carol Higgins Clark, Susie Essman, Veronica Kelly, and Gena Rena Lovett. The unsinkable Liz Smith emceed the event at the Pierre, and brought a level of charisma to the day that only she could impart.

Notable supporters helping to raise over $450,000 included Robert Morgenthau, Robert McGuire, John Catsimatidis, John Osborn, Tony LoBianco, and Police Commish Ray Kelly.

PAL has made a difference in the lives of children, providing academic and artistic programs throughout all five boroughs.
