Toni Fillet and Jody and Giulio Martini teamed up to host a celebration for James Lebenthal and his intriguing tale, Confessions of a Municipal Bond Salesman.
The tome details his journey from hot Hollywood reporter to renowned Wall Street icon, with each chapter giving a vivid recount of his various successes and setbacks. The book tells how to make the most of your life (recognizing opportunity, ethics, and morality, and avoiding procrastination).
His daughter Alexandra told us that Sayra Lebenthal (her grandmother) worked in the biz until she was 93, and cofounded the original Lebenthal & Company in 1925. Well, the apple doesn’t fall far from these workaholics’ tree! Jim, at the ripe age of 78, refuses to stop working, even after selling his company, and has set out on a new venture (with Alexandra by his side).
In the celebratory mix: Ari and Atoosa Rubenstein, Michael and Patricia Schatz, Dr. Neil Sadick, Barbara Kavovit, Boykin Curry and Celerie Kemble Curry, Dorian Baldwin, and John Baxter and Gretchen Young.
Captivating confessions of success.
