Handsome, debonair, charismatic, sensitive, caring. These words describe Frédéric Fekkai. The talented, trend-setting, French hair stylist, boutique owner, and skin-care-product creator was honored by Little Flower Children's Services of New York at the Annual Distinguished Humanitarian Award Dinner at the Metropolitan Club. More than 350 friends, admirers, and lovely-locked ladies gathered to dance, bid on luxe items, and sing the artiste's praises, raising big bucks to aid families in need in the NYC area.

Whitney Radio President and CEO Bill O'Shaughnessy, the event's emcee, noted that Fekkai is "as smart in philanthropy as he is in business," recognizing his quietly generous contributions to charities including Little Flower. O'Shaughnessy joked, "Before you came to this town, Frédéric, if a wife said: 'Honey, I'm having dinner with my hairdresser,' we didn't worry. You changed all that! Now, we worry."

Turning out to honor the dapper Frenchman (who grooms the manes of such celebs as Liv Tyler and Brooke Shields): Fekkai's son Alexandre with mom, Elizabeth; InStyle's Charla Lawhon (who presented Fekkai with the "Distinguished Humanitarian Award"); Lorraine Bracco; Uma Thurman and André Balazs; Lorne Michaels; Chiara and Massimo Ferragamo; YSL's Shirin von Wulffen (Frédéric's current "mane" squeeze); Cornelia Guest; and Charlotte and Vittorio Assaf. You could comb NYC and not find another group of such well-coiffed tresses, chic dresses, and heart-felt messages…
