Pratt Institute's senior class of fashion designers wowed industry professionals and the media with their stunning looks for women and men at the Pratt Institute Fashion Show at Center548. Calvin Klein, who was on hand to present the Fashion Industry Lifetime Achievement Award to Fern Mallis, sang the student designers' praises to Women's Wear Daily, saying he was impressed with their "inventive, cohesive, and beautifully made" work.
A glamorous cocktail benefit honoring Mallis at PH-D Rooftop Lounge at Dream Downtown was hosted by Pratt President Thomas F. Schutte.
Funding for the show was awarded in part through a competitive grant presented to Pratt by the Importer Support Program of the Cotton Board, managed by Cotton Incorporated.
