More than 250 guests attended Pratt Institute and Luxe Pack Art of Packaging Award Gala, which supports the Marc Rosen Scholarship and Education Fund for Packaging by Design, at a private club in Manhattan. The glamorous black-tie fundraiser, which has brought in more than $3.5 mil over the past 22 years, honored Shiseido for its outstanding commitment to package design. Supermodel, actress, and best-selling author and skin care entrepreneur Carol Alt hosted.

The award is presented each year to a fragrance company that has excelled in the art form. Heidi Manheimer, CEO of Shiseido Cosmetics America, and Katsuhiko Shibuya, creative director of Shiseido Co. Ltd., accepted the award.

The scholarship is the only one of its kind available to college students looking to pursue careers in cosmetics and package design. This year's scholarship winners were Renato Martins Cerqueira of Brazil, Wei-Hsin Lin of Taiwan, Aaron Mickelson of NYC, and Maija Rozenfelde of Latvia. Each winner's fragrance package design work was on display at the event.
