Philanthropist Trudie Styler (a.k.a. wife of singing sensation Sting) has taken on yet another worthy cause in her quest to make the world a better place-educating the public about the benefits of an organic future and family farming. A staunch environmentalist, Styler hosted a blowout bash presented by La Dolce Vita at the Metropolitan Pavilion to raise funds for the Soil Association's global Food for Life campaign.
Clad in a form-fitting muscle shirt, Sting wowed the crowd, belting out familiar tunes in his trademark raspy yet ethereal voice. Female fans received a special treat when the musical master invited them all onstage to sing "Every Breath You Take."
A live auction, which raised over $400,000, featured items including: a week at Sting and Trudie's Italian villa and tickets to the 2006 Ryder Cup in Ireland.
In the mix: Jacquetta Wheeler, Fabian and Martina Basabe, Petra Nemcova, Donna Karan, Cody Franchetti, Ann Dexter-Jones, Amy Sacco, and Fisher Stevens.
An environmental cause that has taken root!
