Sandra Stern, Dr. Bud Rowland

Einstein’s infamous quote that “Nothing happens until something moves” got philanthropists moving closer in the direction of a cure at the annual Bal du Printemps for the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation (PDF) held at The Pierre.

Many tributes were paid to Page Morton Black, who has been seamlessly carrying on the legacy of the PDF, which was founded in 1957 by her late husband and Chock Full O’Nuts creator William Black. The Page & William Black Humanitarian Award was presented to Evan and Sandra Stern and Family for their constant efforts on behalf of the organization. The successful evening, emceed by Len Berman and chaired by Amy Goldman, Margo and John Catsimatidis, Dr. Judith Sulzberger, Stephanie Goldman-Pittel, Isobel Robins Konecky, Arlene Levine, Dr. Karen Burke Goulandris, John Castle, Alan “Ace” Greenberg, and Howard Morgan, raised over $700,000 for the cause.
