The cadets and heralds of the Valley Forge Military Academy and College suited up to escort guests in for the Versailles Foundation dinner at The Pierre.

Florence Van der Kemp and Barbara de Portago, who have been the driving force behind the foundation, organized this ultra-elegant black-tie gala, which included a sumptuous dinner fit for a king! The event, featuring many dignitaries and debutantes, supports the restoration of the Groves of Apollo's Baths in the Petit Parc of the Chateau de Versailles.

Their majesties King Simeon II of Saxe-Coburb and Gotha and Queen Margarita of Bulgaria were in attendance, mingling among other regal revelers, including French Consul General Francois Delattre, Prince Dimitri of Yugoslavia, Baroness Bruno Bich, Countess Marianne Nestor Cassini, Princess Alexandra of Greece, Donald and Barbara Tober, Margo Langenberg, Amb. John Loeb Jr. and Sharon Handler, and Archduke and Archduchess Franz Joseph von Habsburg.

Talk about a royal affair!
