Peter Cook and Christie Brinkley

"You oughta be in pictures….” That familiar suggestion was heeded by several lucky bidders among the 500-plus art lovers at the annual Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic Inc. annual auction benefit, “Portraits for Choice.” Held at the Easthampton abode of landscape designer Edwina von Gal, with fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi, the event raised over $350,000 to help the six centers in Suffolk County expand their medical, counseling, and educational services.

The portrait auction provided the opportunity for individ-uals, their families, a pet, or a favorite object to be immortalized on canvas in a custom portrait. The artists included: Gilles Bensimon, Timothy Greenfield-Sanders, David Salle, Jessica Craig-Martin, and Eric Fischl, among others. Works by American art legends Chuck Close and Elizabeth Peyton were also auctioned.
