A delightful celebration, held at Michael’s, hosted by Claire Mercuri, Margo MacNabb, and Somers Farkas, was thrown to fete Nicole Sexton, one of the Republi­can Party’s top national fundraisers and her burst onto the literary scene with her first novel, Party Favors. Sexton’s tome is a titillating and gripping saga of electoral politics, power and privilege. Speaking of power and privilege, nearly 200 guests arrived including Marty Richards, Kathleen Turner, Lauren Bush, Jimmy Nederlander Jr., Tony and Cynthia Maltese, Cornelia and Marty Bregman. Cheers to Sexton for stirring up DC (normally a snooze fest).
