Senator Chuck Schumer got a lot of support from his friends Carol and Stewart Rahr, who hosted a casual summer dinner at their sprawling Wainscott estate to benefit the politico’s 2010 re-election campaign. At $2,000 per couple, the evening kicked things into high gear for Schumer’s future Senate bid, as pals including Missy and Jerry Lubliner, Joe and Anna Simone, Thea and Howard Lorber, Arthur Backal and Liana Silverstein, and Jane and Joe Pontarelli, among others, lent a hand.
