Philanthropist Henry Buhl, founder of the Association of Community Employment Programs for the Homeless, donned his street-sweeping garb to welcome guests at the annual A.C.E. Gala at Guastavino’s. Buhl wore a jumpsuit in honor of the men and women who take part in his program and pick up thousands of pounds of garbage each day in SoHo, Tribeca, NoHo, and The Bowery. Over 450 attendees joined emcee Rita Cosby and co-chairs Sara Herbert Galloway and Barry Klarburg to honor Jeffrey Roseman, Earl Jones, and Richard Kaplan and Edwina Sandys, among others. Empowered youth from the IMPACT Repertory Theatre topped the ceremony’s dinner with a very special performance of two songs.
