Curtis and Mary Sliwa with Mayor Bloomberg

After three decades of empowering people and communities to live safer lives, The Guardian Angels celebrated in style with the 30th Anniversary Gala at The Pierre. Emcee Mark Simone, and chairs John and Margo Catsimatidis, Simon Bergson, and Ed Moldaver joined attendees to honor Angels’ founder Curtis Sliwa—who received the key to the city from Mayor Bloomberg—Dottie Herman, Wayne Chrebet, Barry Kaye, and Larry Kudlow, for their dedication to keeping NYC safe.

Gloria Gaynor’s performance brought a flood of guests up on their feet gyrating to “I Will Survive.” Over $600,000 was raised for the Angels and their quest to fight crime in 140 cities in 14 countries!
