Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon

A blue-themed event at the home of Russell Simmons and Kimora Lee Simmons in East Hampton (although separated, both share the house together) was the setting for the annual Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation’s Art for Life Gala (benefiting NYC youth arts organizations), honoring Donna Karan, Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins, and Raymond J. McGuire.

The tented garden party featured the dazzling visual artwork of Kehinde Wiley, and guests were greeted with mermaids amidst dozens of colored balloons in the pool.

Top gets in the auction included: Sol Rafael diamond earrings (went for $15,000), a week-long Mustique Island travel package (went to Harvey Weinstein for $50,000), and an arts package donated by Danny Simmons from his own personal collection. With Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson as the auctioneer, the event raised a whopping $1.39 mil.

In the throng: Oprah’s best friend Gayle King, Heather Graham, Brett Ratner, Al Reynolds and Star Jones Reynolds, Rachel Zoe, John Witherspoon, Tichina Arnold, Jamie Hector, Phillip Bloch, Bob Balaban, Antonio “L.A.” Reid, and Senator Chuck Schumer.
