The Time Warner Screening Room was abuzz for
the premiere of HBO’s highly anticipated series The
Newsroom. Following the screening, guests discussed
the show over dinner at Porter House. And
there was plenty to talk about: Beyond its dizzying
dialogue and political pastiche, the series follows
a struggling news team and its quixotic
mission to reclaim the legacy of Murrow and
Cronkite in the face of a fickle audience, corporate
mandates, and tangled personal relationships.
