The Parkinson’s Disease Foundation hosted its annual Bal du Printemps gala at The Pierre, MC’d by Good Day New York’s Rosanna Scotto. Guests were treated to a surprise sneak preview of RKO Pictures’ A Late Quartet, the new movie starring Philip Seymour Hoffman, Catherine Keener, and Christopher Walken. The film, which follows a world-renowned string quartet as one of its members struggles with Parkinson’s disease, served as a reminder of the evening’s true focus: to advocate for Parkinson’s research and honor outstanding members of the community for their work against the disease.

Isobel Konecky was honored with the Page and William Black Humanitarian Award. Chairs included Kyle W. Blackmon, Margo Catsimatidis, Jill Taub Drury, Stephanie Goldman-Pittel, Karen Burke Goulandris, Stevi Gurkoff, and Arlene Levine.

This event has been cultivated over the years under the leadership of Page Morton Black, chairwoman of the PDF board and wife of the late William Black, founder of Chock full o’Nuts and creator of PDF. The elegant evening raised more than $550,000 for PDF’s research programs.
