Literacy Partners welcomed bibliophiles and bookworms to Lincoln Center for
its 28th annual Evening of Readings Gala. Hosted by Alina Cho, Jacqueline Weld
Drake, Parker Ladd, and Arnold Scaasi, the event honored literacy advocates Liz
Smith, Harold McGraw III, and The Help director Tate Taylor.
The evening featured readings by TV personalities and authors such as Bill
Maher, Jeffrey Toobin, and Sally Bedell Smith. Students of Literacy Partners’ adult
literacy program also shared their own original works about their experiences
learning to read.
