The Group for the East End’s Green Gala, held at Wolffer Estate Vineyards in Sagaponack, was attended by 400 guests for an eco-friendly evening to benefit the restoration of eastern Long Island.

Amongst an earthy décor of florals and birch trees were Zack Bacon, Katherine and W. Marco Birch, Angelica and Alexander Compagno, Joan and George Hornig, James Lipton, Nicole Miller and Kim Taipale, Anna and Ari Meisel, Tatiana and Campion Platt, Felicia Taylor, and Mary and Ken Walker.

The silent auction brought in the green (big bucks, that is!), featuring items from Nicole Miller, Ferragamo, Martha Stewart’s natural cleaning product line and more. A luxury weekend on a yacht in Newport and an African EcoSafari getaway also triggered a series of bidding wars. Staying true to their mission, $600,000 was raised for environment education. It pays to be green!
