Others were awarded by: Dr. Philip Miller, Court TV, Avon Products, Lifetime Television, King & Spaulding, Pfizer, Goldman Sachs & Co., Avis and Bruce Richards, and the Lufkin Family Foundation.

There were remarks from Andrew Cuomo, who founded the original HELP (Housing Enterprise for the Less Privileged), and a keynote address from author Linda Fairstein, former chief of sex crimes at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. Lending their support: U.S. Rep. Carolyn Maloney, Court TV CEO Henry Schleiff, former NY Gov. Mario Cuomo and Matilda Raffa Cuomo, and (Cuomo son-in-law) Kenneth Cole.
