Denise Rich, Nile Rodgers

It was a glam flashback to the seventies at Capitale for Disco and Diamonds, hosted by Denise Rich (who topped herself once again, pulling out all the stops), benefiting the G&P Foundation for Cancer Research. The charity was co-founded by Philip Aouad (in memory of Gabrielle Rich Aouad, who lost her life to leukemia a decade ago at the young age of 27).

The VIP crowd enjoyed cocktails and a buffet dinner, and Kimora Lee Simmons played emcee. The dance floor throbbed as Gloria Gaynor brought down the house with “I Will Survive,” recalling the heady disco days of Studio 54. The social set also boogied the night away to performances by Sister Sledge and Pierre Dulaine’s Dancing Classrooms.

The New York potpourri included: Ann Dexter Jones, Joe Levin, Ivana Trump, Ashford and Simpson, Michael McCloskey, Jacob “the Jeweler” Arabo, Charles Curkin, Caroline Hirsch and Andrew Fox, David Anton, Steven Elkman, Marty and Cornelia Bregman, Chris Ford, Nile Rodgers, Francine LeFrak and Rick Friedberg, Christine Schwarzman, Gayle Perry, Patricia Duff, John Evatz, Sam Bolton, Monica Herrera, Henry Buhl, Ruben Diaz, and Saul and Heather Kerzner.

All that glitters was golden at this over-the-top extravaganza!
